How to embed a video on your website
Embedding one of the videos you’ve found through this site is as easy as copying and pasting.
At the bottom of each video page is a box that contains the embed code. These lines of html communicate to a browser which YouTube video to display on your webpage and how. Copy this code and then simply paste the code within the page where you would like it to feature.
Below is an example of what one of these boxes looks like. These are found at the bottom of each video page.
No suggested videos afterwards
You might have noticed that you sometimes get ‘suggested videos’ appear at the end of watching a YouTube video. In the code above we’ve selected the option to have these removed. We’ve often had feedback from people saying that they prefer not to have suggested videos after a video has played as it’s not possible for individual sites to control what videos are suggested.
Embedding a YouTube video costs you nothing – the video is hosted on YouTube’s servers and uses YouTube’s bandwidth not yours.
No Adverts before the video starts
YouTube channels are in control of whether they monitize videos by allowing YouTube to run adverts before the video starts. None of the videos from our Go Chatter YouTube channel are monitized as we don’t want people to have to watch an advert before they watch our videos. So when embedding one of our Go Chatter Original videos you won’t see any adverts before the video starts. Most other Christian YouTube channels will also not have enabled adverts.
Please do not upload these videos to the internet
Many of the videos on this website are available to download free of charge so you can show them offline in services, schools, groups or at events etc. If you would like to embed this video on your website, please use the html embed code rather than re-uploading the video to the internet. Thank you.
