How far would a shepherd go to find one lost sheep?
What is a parable? – A simple, understandable story with a deeper meaning. Jesus used several parables to help us see more clearly the truths about God.
Here, Jesus tells the story of a shepherd searching for one of his lost sheep. He leaves the other ninety-nine sheep in the field and will not rest until the one precious sheep has been found.
So the question is: what is Jesus trying to show us about God’s love for us if He is so desperate to find us when we are lost?
