The Lord’s Harvest

Will you take the job?

The Bible tells us in Matthew 9:37 that “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”. The harvest belongs to the Lord, and amazingly he has invited us, as Christians, to be the workers. “The Lord’s Harvest” challenges us to think about the people whom God has placed around us, maybe those who play in your team or who are members of the same club, and to see them as the Lord sees them: part of his harvest. What is stopping your non-Christian team mate from trusting Jesus? Will you allow God to use you to bring in the harvest?

Possible Discussion Questions

  • Can you think of a specific context where the harvest is plentiful around you? How could you share Jesus here?
  • Do you find evangelism daunting or exciting? How does Matt 9:37 motivate us?
