Acts 1-2 series, Episode 1: Jesus gives his followers a job to do
During his time on earth, Jesus began his work of showing people the love of God and teaching them about the good news of God. Now Jesus has left us with an important job to do: continue his work by being his witnesses, while we wait for him to return from heaven.
We know Jesus is coming back to save us from the presence of sin and bring us into his forever kingdom. We've got a responsibility to share this with a world that desperately needs to hear his good news.
But we're not alone. Armed with the Bible and the Spirit, we have God's words and God's power to do the job he's left us to do. The question is, are we going to do it?
