A fresh look at the Beatitudes and what it means to be blessed.
What does it mean to be winning at life? What does it mean to succeed, to be fulfilled, complete?
Jesus had quite a few things to say about this. In his ‘Sermon on the Mount’ he talks about the type of people who are ‘blessed,’ and it’s certainly not what you would expect. Jesus doesn’t mention being wealthy, popular or even religious. Instead, he speaks about being ‘spiritually skint…grieving…having a hunger for justice…defusing confrontation and cutting others some slack.’
In this video, we hear the Beatitudes unpacked and explored using language we can relate to today.
