Description

Students discuss how knowing Jesus has freed them from feelings of insecurity and guilt.

To be human means to have flaws. No one is perfect.
It can be easy to feel insecure and critical about the bad bits of ourselves.

Here, some students from Durham University share their experiences of growing up in Christian families and making a decision to follow Jesus for themselves. They explain how God has set them free from struggling to be the perfect person because Jesus died for every part of us, even the broken parts.

We no longer need to live in fear of getting things wrong or feel angry at ourselves. We are welcomed and accepted just as we are.

Possible Discussion Questions

  • Do you find it easy to be critical of yourself?
  • How can we know that we are accepted and forgiven?
