The mental health crisis has left many of us with a mess of emotions we don't know how to deal with or express. The divide between the happy public facade and the reality of feeling crushed can leave us floundering. Covid-19, repeated lockdowns and extended time online has only exacerbated the problem.
The message of the gospel speaks real hope into the mess. There is a God who sent a light into our broken world in his Son, Jesus Christ. The gospel doesn't promise a sorted life now, but it does offer peace for daily battles through the darkness and an eternal perfect future with no mental health struggles.
Rhyme and Reason is an evangelical video ministry set up to help the spread of the gospel through online videos. As well as producing videos for organisations, we produce free-to-use evangelistic media and spoken words videos.
Caleb Shaw is a videographer and spoken word artist. He produces videos for churches and corporate Christian clients as well as his own short videos helping people understand the Christian faith.
