Paul Faulkner tells Peter's story. Instead of telling the truth, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times when he was confronted by those that recognised him, just as Jesus said He would.
When he was reunited with Jesus, Peter expected retribution, but instead he received a divine resolution, as He was forgiven.
Although we deserve to be rejected when we wander away, Jesus will always welcome us home. He longs to show us His love and grace, and we will be restored in love.
