Anti-Santy Ranty

Is God a giant Father Christmas?

Do you imagine God as a moralistic dispenser of stuff – someone who’s watching and waiting to spot our mistakes? Many people might imagine God to be similar to an ancient invisible St Nick in the sky.

But Christmas shows that’s not so. This video compares people’s view of God with Santa. The spoken word poem shares how God is very different – how he became flesh, how he drew alongside us, and how he came to befriend and save.
