Seek

Description

Who did Jesus come to seek and save?

Sport is filled with huge highs and difficult lows. Talent, success, and strength, but also anxiety, insecurity, and brokenness.

Maybe you’ve tasted success - you’ve won leagues and cups, you’ve dominated races, and yet you’ve recognised that the buzz and the thrill you were chasing hasn’t ultimately satisfied.

The fact is, even if we are happy and successful, the Bible says that we are still lost. The heart of the Christian faith is that Jesus came to find us and rescue us. Jesus doesn’t look for our strength and talents, nor does he care about our mess and failures.

“The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.” He came to seek and save…you.

Possible Discussion Questions

  • Why is it that success in this life can never truly satisfy us?
  • Why are we “lost?”
