Meal 2: How do you say thank you to someone?
In this video, two people have a meal with Jesus. The first person is Simon, a respected church-goer. But because he doesn't understand that he is a sinner or that Jesus is his saviour, he doesn't treat Jesus specially or thank him.
The second person is an uninvited guest, a woman with a bad reputation. She washes Jesus' feet with precious perfume, her tears and her hair. That's a funny way to thank someone!
The woman thanks Jesus like this because she understands she is a sinner in need of a saviour, and Jesus welcomes and forgives her. Like the woman, we can be thankful for Jesus' forgiveness for our sin!
Suitable for children aged 5-11 years old.
