Meals with Jesus: Lunch with Levi

Levi was a traitor with a big S.I.N. problem. He needed Jesus to change his heart. The Pharisees thought they were healthy, and didn’t need Jesus. Just like Levi, when we trust that Jesus has saved us through his death on the cross, we can be forgiven.

Description

Meal 1: Who would you invite to your party?

In this video, Jesus surprises everyone when he doesn't go to a party with nice and likeable people. Instead, Jesus chooses Levi, a man with a big problem - a S.I.N. problem that we all have. Sin is when we say 'Shove off God, I'm in charge, No to your rules'.

Levi needed Jesus to change him. So when Jesus said 'Follow me', Levi followed, and threw a massive party for Jesus! Jesus surprised everyone when he came not for good people but for sinners. The Pharisees thought they were healthy but they were sinners too. Levi knew he was sick with sin and needed Doctor Jesus to change his heart.

Just like Levi, when we trust that Jesus has saved us through his death on the cross, we can be forgiven.

Suitable for children aged 5-11 years old.
