Jerusalem in Ruins
Where do you go when you need help?
In this series on the book of Nehemiah, we meet Ben the Builder and his friend Tommy Toolbox at a construction site. Ben the Builder needs to rebuild his home which is in ruins, and Tommy Toolbox shares the story of Nehemiah whose home was also destroyed! Nehemiah was worried and didn't know what to do, so he prayed to God for the courage to ask the powerful King of Babylon for help.
Through God's power, God made the king want to help Nehemiah, and so the king agreed to help and gave him everything they needed to rebuild the city of Jerusalem! God is able to help us, and when we pray to him it reveals to us God's power and desire to answer those prayers.
Suitable for 4-11 year olds, with age-appropriate variations.
