After the hard work is done in re-building Ben’s house, Ben is exhausted and goes to take a nap. In the meantime, Bernie tries to steal his tools from Tommy the Toolbox - and gets caught! Bernie is sorry to Ben, and promises to give his tools back after talking with Ben. Similarly, God’s people in the book of Nehemiah were sorry that they hadn’t been following God’s ways, after listening to God’s Word. Yet God keeps on loving, forgiving, and rescuing us, even though we constantly mess up. God’s people were sorry and repentant, and God was ready to forgive his beloved people.
Suitable for 4-11 year olds, with age-appropriate variations.
